Cost Segregation is a tax savings strategy that appropriately classifies building component costs for federal tax depreciation purposes and facilitates "partial disposition" deductions. Using new online cost segregation software tools, tax preparers can generate these reports for smaller properties without hiring a third-party engineer. This course will demonstrate these new software tools and discuss tax planning strategies that can be implemented.
